Goal Setting
Measure of Academic Progress - MAP
The student goal setting worksheet is to help students create goals for themselves to improve on their personal academic reading. The RIT is a measure of the students ability to read. By logging their scores each trimester, the students are able to measure their own progress toward grade level or above reading standards. Students also write specific goals for improvement. For example: Math goal: to learn math facts for multiplication. Reading goal: to focus on vocabulary. Language goal: to understand and retell a story. These goals keep students accountable for their learning.
